It looks like the cold, finally got me. It can't keep me down though, I will bounce back. I am out today, due to illness, but I still want you to get ahead. The powerpoint is on the website. I have also left an assignment for my Honors classes on the blog. Please complete and turn in today. You may write your answers on a separate sheet of paper. Remember, the submission bins have moved, to the front of the room, next to the white board.
Ladies and Gentlemen, This week we will be starting a new unit. I am trying something new. Instead of starting off with lecture, I want to pick at your brains a little first. We are going to start our discussion and lessons on OCEANS! The beautiful blue water that it so relaxing and fun for vacations. We will discuss all the various creatures and issues that come along with it. Today we will start by discussing, MISSION BLUE, a Netflix Documentary, by Sylvia Earle. She has a pretty interesting bio. She is truly a trailblazer in this field. Tonight, I want you to view her TED Talk and answer a few questions, that we will discuss tomorrow. Answer these 6 questions, be sure to be honest and open about your responses. This will be for a grade, as each of you must have input for the conversation.

For today, please complete the assignments that are left for you. The Substitute has the worksheets. Students who have been designated to read the sub plans, please make sure to help the sub distribute the work. Honors class, your assignment is due today, 2/22/16. Academic class, your assignment is due tomorrow, 2/23/16. Honors Class: CURRENT EVENT IS DUE ON FRIDAY!!! DO NOT FORGET!!!! If you have questions, you can Tweet, Snap Chat or message me on Remind. The Super Bowl is over...I hope you had lots of fun watching the game and enjoyed your weekend. Monday is here and you all have plenty of things to accomplish this week.
Academic Classes: Please continue to work on your project. I will sign the completed assignments upon my return. Honors Classes: Please do not forget to work on your projects, they are due on Wednesday. Feel free to work on your project during this time. You also have a Hydrosphere WebQuest. This webquest is due on Tuesday. Please do not forget to turn this in on Tuesday. TEST WILL BE ON MONDAY! |
